[It’s been one year since Trump was elected and he’s already taken the presidency into the gutter]
Donald Trump the 45th president was elected into office January 20th 2017 and a year later the country is divided by various issues.
Trump Accomplishments
I have shortlisted 11 Things President Donald Trump has done till date to further take a look at his accomplishments and tailspins he has taken the country through during this presidency. Everyone knew it was going to be a show to watch when he became elected and the 45th president and he has not disappointed the critics.
The Bad:
1. Nominated Supreme Court Justice.
2. He withdrew from Paris Climate Accord.
3. He imposed hiring freeze on civilian government employees.
4. He authorized construction of Keystone and Dakota Access pipelines and opened drilling in Alaska seas.
The Ugly:
5. Withdrew from Trans Pacific Partnership TPP
6. Cracked down on immigration.
7. He got NATO allies to kick in 12 billion more toward our collective security.
The Good
8. Reinstated the Mexico City policy.
9. He enforced President Barack Obamas red line against Syria.
10. He instituted a lobbying freeze.
11. He enacted historic tax & regulatory reform in hopes of economic growth.
I have broken these 11 items into groups that seem to fit the narrative of these deeds. However, my opinion is somewhat biased given that I believe in environmental security an global warming and see the pipeline deal as another disaster waiting to happen along with the Paris Climate Accord, mostly though a lot of the things he has done that seems to get him praise he is re-thinking his position on it and has tried to put his own little spin on it. Trumpcare – Trade Agreements with North Korea – just to name a few. Nevertheless, he has made a few choices in this list of things that I feel have made me wonder about the legitimacy of democracy in the executive branch of our government.
